Graffiti found in Dewing Hall, a classroom building, on June 1, 1986 attacked members of the college's gay community. This particular photo shows graffiti on the door to a women's bathroom that says "Homosexuality is a pitfall not a power!" Only three years before this, the first student organization to support gay rights was formed. However, the graffiti showed that there was still resistance to equal rights at this time.
