Abstract
High tunnels provide the opportunity for producers to extend the growing season later into the fall, and begin the season earlier in the spring by trapping heat. The environment inside of the structure is distinctly different within a high tunnel when compared to the open air, thus a producer must practice nutrient management differently than under normal conditions. This project was designed to examine cover crop and composting practices related to yield expectation and soil building in high tunnels.
