Abstract

Cultural differences in urban versus rural settings impact how people in those cultures view those in poverty. People living in rural settings tend to rely more on their communities and self-formed social safety networks for survival. On the other hand, people living in urban settings have more access to opportunities for work, aid from organizations, and governmental aid.
