Abstract
Pictured is Ethel Cronkite, class of 1920. Before attending Kalamazoo College, Cronkite was a student at the Baptist Missionary Training School in Chicago. In 1921 she traveled to Bengal-Orissa, India under the direction of the Women's Baptist Foreign Missionary board. She would serve as a missionary in India from 1921-1939. In 1928, Cronkite would return to Kalamazoo to obtain her Masters degree from the college. One of her accomplishments while overseas included translating the Gospel of Mark into the local language.
