dc.description.abstractFor my Working S.I.P. I had an internship with Pepsi-Cola Mexicana, the Mexican branch of Pepsi-Cola International. I worked iii the Financial Department of the main offices in Mexico City, Mexico. Throughout my internship, I worked on a variety of small projects in various areas of the department. My paper deals with both the economical and sociological external factors that effect a business in Mexico. It gives insight to the economical history of Mexico, leading up to why the Mexican economy is the way it is today. The information on the Mexican economy as it stands now is as of March 5th, 1990. The Mexican culture is very different to that of other countries. I believe that the culture has a large impact on how a subsidiary is run in a foreign country. Understanding the culture in which a subsidiary operates is a necessity for running a successful business. The majority of the cultural information included is from personal experiences both inside and outside the office setting. The objective of my paper is to provide an environmental audit containing Mexican economical and cultural background information. This paper is strictly objective.en_US
