The author describes his experience working for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office (WCPO) in the Litigation Technology Unit (LTU). The author discusses the software used, including Evidence.com, Camtasia, Audacity, the software used to manage phone dumps, data from unmanned aircraft systems, facial recognition software and other biometric data, as well as files collected from automatic license plate recognition cameras, police body-worn cameras, and DNA and fingerprints. The job was an opportunity to combine interests in technology and the law.
