Abstract
The Senior Individualized Project is designed to be the culmination of four years academic work and the interests one has developed during that time. When I began thinking about a "SIP" there were several ideas guiding my thinking. My major in Human Relations and Human Resources had allowed me to combine my academic interest in studying both groups and individuals. My foreign study experience in Latin America had heightened my interest in discovering cultures other than my own. Lastly, my thinking was influenced by my growing interests in teaching and examining how women understand the world in which we live. I combined all these interests and came up with the vague idea that I wanted to study women in a Hispanic culture and do "something" with education.
