Street Trade: Case Studies from Kenya
I spent time with and interviewed various traders in Nairobi, Kenya. I experienced vendors’ daily routine and was informed of the constant struggles they face, such as insufficient capital, low profits, poor transportation, fierce competition, and lack of security. In addition, I visited an NGO dedicated to providing health insurance and micro loans to entrepreneurs.
