Abstract
This paper is a report on three case studies that I conducted while living at Hogar Infantil, an orphanage in Chiapas, Mexico. I stayed at the orphanage for two months, working with the subjects five days per week, for three hours each day. My primary role was to tutor five 9 and 10 year old boys in all their homework subjects. My objective for this paper was to observe the behaviors and academic performance of three of the boys that were receiving psychological attention on a weekly to biweekly basis. I gathered information for my study while also serving as the eyes and ears of the volunteer psychologists who could only spend a very limited time with each child.
