dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this project was to set up a laboratory with corresponding testing equipment that would demonstrate the structure-property relationships of dielectric and piezoelectric materials. The assigned project goals were to set up the lab, to demonstrate these relationships and to design and document experiments to highlight these properties. New laboratory equipment was purchased for the purpose of improving the existing introductory lab class in the materials science department at Purdue University. This equipment will enhance the learning process as it better demonstrates these relationships. This paper discusses the structure-property relationships of dielectric and piezoelectric materials.en_US
