Abstract
The objective of this study is to compare the German Nursing Home System with the so named 'system' in the United States. This project was completed in fifteen weeks. This is a limited amount of time for a subject which has many important aspects to be addressed. Therefore, I could only completely focus my attention on selective aspects of the two nursing home systems. In consideration of the weaknesses in this study, I hope to not only express the similarities and differences between the two systems, but also establish the significant aspects of the German system which could benefit the United States. The project consists of two parts: background research and participant observation
