Abstract
There is much speculation on which treatments are most effective in treating recidivism in adulthood. One promising approach is the cognitive behavioral approach, which attempts to alter the offender's cognitive processes to more -positive social thoughts and actions. This study researched 10 male offenders from Lakeside Treatment and Learning Center. These students were assessed using the Abel Assessment for Sexual Interest. In the proposed study it was hypothesized that with positive male role models and sexual education training that the levels of deviant sexual interest would decrease over a short period of time. A discussion of the expected results is presented.
