Abstract
One of the intents of this project was to create a rounded illustration of the town and surrounding area of Exeter, New Hampshire. It is a town that has many interesting themes, including its historical significance as an early Puritan break colony, the home to a prestigious prep school and as a port at the intersection of two rivers. The area is also a very diverse ecological system. The natural springs, wetlands, fish and wildlife have been an important resource for human survival until very recently. Possibly, the most major theme though may be my own relationship with it. This collection of writings contains an assortment of voices and vantage points that portray the New Hampshire town where I grew up. There are an uncountable number of voices that make Exeter the town it is. I have represented only a few. The voices are often fictitious and were inspired by my past experiences, research, friends and interviews. I hope that you find this collection as quirky and enjoyable as it was to write.
