Abstract
The paper is divided into two main sections, the first being the analytical portion of the document discussed above and the second covering the work experience aspect of my Senior Individualized Project. The analytical part of the paper begins with an introduction and then moves into a sub-section comprising a discussion of two common misconceptions held by start-up entrepreneurs. The first one covers the
subject of capital and the second misconception involves business planning.
The second sub-section of the analytical portion encompasses the "recipe" for success in start-up ventures.
This sub-section is divided even further into the areas of questioning, business planning, skill
improvement, capital, legal issues, marketing, family, growth, personnel and entrepreneurial energy,
respectively. The analytical segment of the document ends with a conclusion section.
The second main section of the essay covering the work experience aspects of my S.I.P. is divided into six
different subsections entitled: 1. Introduction; 2. Research Project- Small Busiitess Funding Sources; 3.
Young Entrepreneurs Seminar (Y.E.S.); 4. Consultation; 5. Residential Opportunities, Inc.; and, 6.
Conclusion.
In addition to the two main sections, there is an addendum that includes a copy of the business plan
created for Residential Opportunities, Incorporated.
