Abstract
Bilingualism has been found to improve executive functioning. This study examined whether bilingualism aids mathematical ability in first- and second-grade children. Monolingual and bilingual students were given a math worksheet and a verbal fluency test. No significant relation was found between mathematical ability and bilingualism.
