An Examination of the Predictors of Career and Leadership Aspirations in College Students: A Literature Review and Collaborative Research Summary

In this paper, Phase I, Phase II and Phase III of Dr. Boatwright's research program will be described. Phase I was a pilot study testing hypotheses regarding career aspirations of Kalamazoo College students. Phase II was another pilot study examining the career aspirations of mid-western universities. Phase III, consisted of a pilot study testing a new career aspirations scale on students of Oakland Community College. Additionally, a rationale for a literature review on leadership and career aspirations will be described. Finally, a thorough literature review will be presented.
