Abstract
This paper represents the culmination of my summer internship at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. The purpose of this experience was to fulfill the Kalamazoo College Senior Individualized Project (SIP) requirement. worked for nine weeks (over 400 hours) in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs Office of International Security Operations (PM/ISO).
My time at the U.S. Department of State was both productive and educational. The most beneficial aspect of the internship was the broad exposure I received to the responsibilities of my office and the Department of State (DoS). The variety of jobs assigned to me provided practical learning.
