Abstract
Women in Business: Power in Change has two main sections, and "experiential description and a "connection essay." The first section is a description of the author’s experience interning at North Star Marketing this past summer. This section discusses the challenges of working for a woman-owned business, and the encouragement and expectations working under many women leaders. The "connection essay" discusses further data analysis research on the affect of women-owned businesses on payroll, and the differences of women leadership compared to that of men. This section also compares findings with the author’s experiences at North Star Marketing. All in all, this paper challenges readers to have a deeper and more intimate look at a women-owned business, how the world sees them today, and what should happen in the future.
