Abstract
Students at Kalamazoo College protest the ousting of a popular professor, Dr. Carey Ganong, of the Economics department, and demand his reinstatement. The students refused to attend classes and marched through the campus with banners in December of 1937. They also held meetings, like the one pictured here. One sign in the picture reads "We Demand -- Reinstatement." The meeting took place in the lounge of the men's dormitory, Hoben Hall. Ultimately, the college president resigned but Dr. Ganong's contract was still not renewed.
