Abstract
This program, written by Kalamazoo College student John Lobur '95, was created for a 1995 exhibit in the A.M. Todd Rare Book Room. The program looks at how the books of these philosopher's were printed over time, as printers went from printing fancifully in the original Latin or Greek for the educated elite to more translated and easier to produce volumes for the general public as people became more literate and the printing industry changed. It goes on to discuss the ancient Greek and Roman philosophers included in the exhibit and provides a booklist for the exhibit which includes books spanning five centuries.
