Abstract
During the summer of 2021, Aleksandr Molchagin, Fatima Ortega, David Xu, and I, Revaz Bakuradze, formed the developer group Decentralized People of the Earth (DP Earth) and worked on the project dVox – an anonymous thought-sharing app for Kalamazoo College students. The inspiration for the project was Lex Fridman’s podcast episode 172, where his guest Ryan Schiller talked about his experience as a student-entrepreneur and the struggles that he faced when he developed and advertised the social media app Librex. The dVox app has four main sections. Homepage – a fragment where users can see the feed and upvote/downvote a post, comment section – a fragment where users can comment on a selected post, compose page – a fragment where users can write a draft of a post that they would later be published in homepage, and finally profile page – a fragment where users can see their statistics and regenerate the username to stay anonymous.
