Abstract
The author writes "My Senior Individualized Project uses comic book superheroes as the main
visual focus and place them in positions that they are not normally seen in order create interesting dynamics within each individual piece and to see how they may work in conjunction with each other. FormySIP Iworked with oil paints on large scale canvases that I built myself, which included the purchase of un-stretched canvas, wood, gesso, and nails for the most part. Other than that it was just a variety of brushes and a variety of paints. I believe an art SIP such as mine is a way of self expression that takes something I'm fond of and makes it into something that may have implications past the canvas. It is not a project that will have viewers asking what they saw because everything is easily taken in, but it may draw viewers to look longer and try and get something out of it."
