Abstract
This thesis serves by commencing with the facts of life in an urban black ghetto, the history of
learning in the home and the street, and the patterns of
thought and language to portray how and why we as a
teaching community at CAM Academy evolved to the decision
to revamp the mold of the school. We began with
structures but were very free to move away and around
from these structures.
I began with facts for they support the OAK Academy
philosophy; that flexible philosophy only becomes
meaningful through its implementation and response in
the real situation. I narrowed the experimental core
to the English program and classroom. I end with linguistic
philosophy which re-enforces and explains the
fealty of the facts. This is the cycle of my thesis,
a minute verbal aspect of the entire "educational journey."
