Abstract
This paper aims to investigate how and why affective climates are developed within organizations. The goal is to analyze how certain patterns of behavior are cultivated and reinforced and thereby underpin said climates. The author draws upon a wide range of theory in order to better understand why organizations might develop affective climates that discourage honest dialogue between employees and their superiors.
