Abstract
A popularly accepted definition of bullying is repeated interpersonal actions or behaviors that are specifically intended to cause either physical or psychological harm.
In 2009 one in five American high school students reported experiencing being a victim of bullying while at school.
In 2010 one in five high school students reported being a victim of cyber bullying at some point in their lives.
With the increase of bullying, there is a disturbingly vast increase of victimization.
Because bullying is so prevalent, issues of bullying and its relations to body-image and self-esteem are in crucial need of further investigation and deeper understanding so that one day we may live in a world where no person lives in fear or takes their own life because they lost their battle against bullying.
