Abstract
Bumble bees are important native pollinators that help maintain healthy ecosystems. Within Michigan there are twenty different species, six of which have been defined as declining in geographical range. Agricultural intensification and urbanization are factors impacting bumble bee species. The potential for urban areas to support bumble bees is understudied. How well do urban vs. rural environments support bumble bee diversity and abundance?
