Abstract
This paper, while dealing with the creative process on all levels and in all fields of endeavor will tend to emphasize the third or inventive level. I am not attempting to introduce any new theories of creativity, but rather to review the recent literature on the subject; and to attempt to organize these into a somewhat structured model of the psychologist's conception of the creative process. I will also mention briefly the areas of mental health and personality as they relate to creativity. Then in the final section of the paper, I will try to show how this research is being applied in industry by management and the industrial psychologists.
