Abstract
Toddler attachment to their primary and professional caregiver was studied. One
hundred toddlers were recruited from 25 Child Development center in five major cities.
The experimenters ran the Strange Situation with the toddler and his or her primary
caregiver and then ran the Strange Situation with the toddler and their professional
caregiver. The current experiment examines the attachment of toddlers with their primary
and professional caregivers using the Stranger Situation. The experimenter looks at the
difference in toddler reaction during the stages. The current experiment examines the
difference between the attachment relationships with primary caregivers versus
professional caregivers as a toddler develops.
