Abstract
The purpose of this study was to look into the possib1l1ties of translating oonversat1onal German sentences into English sentences. Some computers are capable of translating upwards of 50,000 words per hour, while a human-being can translate at a rate of about 2,600 words per day. The growing need for this kind of work makes the work meaningful in a wider sense - even though this particular study was of a 1imited nature.
