Computer graphics and its applications have always fascinated me ever since I was first exposed to it. Naturally, an SIP connecting Computer graphics with Physics seemed ideal when Dr. Winch and I hit upon the idea early in September of 1977. The program that I have developed during my SIP quarter connects these two fields with a third known as Computer Aided Instruction. The nature of Computer Aided
Instruction (C.A.I.) was explained to me briefly by Dr. John Hermann of Western Michigan University when I contacted him for some advice concerning the use of computer graphics in computer programming.
C.A.I. couples text book instruction with the graphic and calculating
capabilities of the computer to arrive at a new method of instruction
using the graphics terminal.
