    Abstract
A senior individualized project (SIP) should be fun should be exciting, and, with my science background, should be spent in a lab researching. Lab is not my forte and being inside a building with no windows is not my idea of fun. To me a SIP should be interesting and something life altering or at the very least eye opening. I couldn't bear the thought of spending countless hours doing tedious work in a stuffy lab dressed in a plain white lab coat. I spent some time and looked into biological research and couldn't find anything that seemed individualized enough for me, most were someone else's research that I could attach my name to or help out with. No, to me that is not what an individualized project is. I needed something that catered to me. What exactly did that though I was not sure, until I learned about a summer camp for underprivileged children in Kalamazoo County.
