Item Kalamazoo College Archives Photograph Digitization Workflow(2009-11-29T19:44:55Z) Butler, HeidiFor use by the Kalamazoo College Archives. This workflow begins with selection of the original physical photograph, takes you through all the steps involved with scanning and uploading to CACHE, and ends on the final step of refilling the print with added information about the location of the digital version. These instructions assume you are working with a physical photographic print. The form explains that the College may duplicate originals in any format deemed appropriate (i.e. analog or digital), and the College may use the duplications for research, display, publication, and/or posting to the Internet. The lender/donor will retain all rights to the original materials.Item Kalamazoo College Access Recommendation Form(2014-04-02) Kalamazoo CollegeMaterials submitted to the Kalamazoo College Digital Archive will be accessible through the Internet and indexed by search engines like Google. This form allows copyright holders to recommend the level of access for their work through the Kalamazoo College Digital Archive. Copyright holders may indicate greater or more restrictive access than Kalamazoo College would normally place on archived materials (see the Kalamazoo College Digital Archive Policies (http://dspace.nitle.org/handle/10920/104). Ultimately, Kalamazoo College reserves the right to determine the access level of materials in the Kalamazoo College Digital Archive. Regardless of access level, this material is protected under the provisions of U.S. Code Title 17. Any copying of this work other than “fair use” (17 USC §107) continues to be prohibited without the copyright holder’s permission.
