Abstract
In the fall of 2000, I will be entering my first year of law school at a destination not yet determined. I would like to focus my studies in the area of Educational Law. Educational Law has several components. I am interested in the legal procedures involved with public school financing. Therefore, I focused my research on analyzing the procedures of a bond issue, one type of public school financing. Also, I was fortunate enough to complete my intern teaching in a school district that had recently experienced a failed bond proposal. The Otsego Public School District provided me with an excellent opportunity to research an actual bond issue case study. Through my research, I was able to expand my knowledge about the components of a bond issue and the struggles a school district has to endure in order to make its bond issue successful.
