The Effects of Cytidine Deaminases on Cellular Transformation

Abstract

In this study, Rogers (2005) researched the effects of various levels of the APOBEC proteins AID and APOBEC3G on human 293 kidney cells using a transfected cell line. Relative rates of transformation were determined using an anchorage independent assay, followed by an examination of the rate of protein expression as compared to the rate of cellular transformation using RT-PCR.
