Abstract
For my ICRP, I worked as a teacher's aid in the English department at a local school. I worked with three classes on a weekly basis. Two of the classes were from the fourth level (about 13 or 14 years old), and the other class was a second level class (about 11 or 12 years old). From my time working at the school, I was able to observe and learn not just about how English was taught, but how the school operated as a whole.
My main methods of gathering information for this project were observing the classes, talking with the professors teaching the classes, and talking with other Spanish students outside of the classroom. While in the classroom, my major responsibilities in the classroom were to provide the students an alternate style of English (American English), and to assist them in any way that I could.
