Abstract
My ICRP allowed me to conduct on-site research on the Kenyan constitution and political system by participating in an internship with the National Convention Executive Council (NCEC). During my experience with the NCEC I served as an Intern of Constitutional Reform Education and Advocacy. The NCEC is a non-governmental, civic organization, which serves as the executive body of the National Convention Assembly Movement (NCA Movement). The NCA movement is a civic based social initiative that has fought for a new constitutional order within the state of Kenya. The NCA Movement believes that a new Kenyan constitution is the pivotal component through which substantive political and governmental change will occur within the Kenyan political system.
