The Social Dynamics of a Grand Rapids Farmer’s Market
Abstract
The goal of this research is to provide justification for the support of
farmer’s markets in low-income neighborhoods, specifically the
Westside Farmer’s Market, by focusing on the existing social
dynamics of farmer’s markets and potential benefits of social
interaction. With that goal in mind, the primary question that this
research seeks to answer is, to what extent is social capital being
facilitated at the Westside Farmer’s Market?
