Presentation given at the March 27-28, 2008 Great Lakes Information Technologists for Education and Research (GLITTER) conference at Kalamazoo College. Kalamazoo College recently implemented DSpace, an open source platform for accessing and preserving digital works, such as student theses and archival materials. This session focuses on the planning and policy decisions that went into starting the project, what materials the College archives, the workflow process, pros and cons of the open source solution, and plans for the future.
