Abstract

Ethel Cronkite, class of 1920, was an American Baptist missionary who served in Bengal-Orissa, India from 1921-1939. In 1927, she sent the college issues of the missionary magazine Tidings to contribute to the school's centennial collection. This issue includes articles written about the struggles of missionary work during the rainy season, the necessity for funds toward missionary construction projects, strategies used by missionaries in gaining converts, and a prayer list.
