Abstract

In this Senior Issue of the 1914 Index, the portraits of Leon Rowland and Gladys Martin can be found in proximity to each other. The two would marry on June 17, 1915. They would go on to serve as missionaries in Southern India. Gladys' father was Louis E. Martin, Class of 1888, who was head principal of the Baptist College in Ongole, India. Leon Rowland became his predecessor in 1917, serving as principal of the college for a total of 10 years.
