You Can’t Change the Past

Abstract

“You Can’t Change the Past” is a collection of artwork about revisiting my own experiences with animal death and abuse. Over the course of 10 weeks, I gathered different stories from my friends and news outlets to really delve into the most inhumane and unethical ways that animals have been impacted by humans. As dark as this topic may be, I felt like it was something that needed to be discussed. This project was made using mainly watercolor and acrylic paint with ultraviolet paint (UV) paint, alcohol markers, and neon-colored pencils as secondary materials.
