dc.description.abstract | The goal for this project was to create a series of children’s books that helped speech and language therapy and had more representation of minorities. With the help of my sister, who was in her last semester of graduate school to be a speech therapist, I created three books. These books included specific vocabulary that is used in speech and language therapy with children. I wrote stories that represented mindfulness of emotional consequences, bilingual and Hispanic individuals, and body positivity. | en_US |
