    Abstract
The Wnt signaling pathway and the Hippo signaling pathway play critical roles in cell fate determination and proliferation. An active Wnt pathway promotes cell growth and division, whereas an active Hippo pathway inhibits cell proliferation. Despite of the fact that the two pathways were initially established as separate and independent cascades, recent studies have found evidences for possible cross-talk between the Wnt and the Hippo signaling pathways. There is a plethora of studies regarding the crosstalk between the Wnt pathway and the Hippo pathway in various cell types, but the presence of the crosstalk remains largely unelucidated in multiple types of regular human cells and human cancer cells. The present study aimed to observe if there exist evidences for the Wnt-Hippo crosstalk in HEK-293 (human kidney) cells and MCF-7 (human breast cancer) cells.
