Abstract
Calvert Johnson was a Young Artists finalist who graduated from Kalamazoo College magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1971. He was also a Fulbright Fellow that studied in France at the Toulouse Conservatoire. He is shown here playing the organ in Stetson Chapel.
This photo was originally published in the April 1976 issue of the Kalamazoo College magazine. The magazine's article about the 30th anniversary of the Bach Festival stated, "Although Bach is probably the greatest composer to have written for the organ, he was more renowned in his own time as an organist than a composer. This year, alumnus Calvert Johnson '71 aptly illustrated Bach's brilliant understanding of that instrument during the Sunday afternoon Chamber Music Concert."
