    Abstract
My SIP is fragmented into four sections: “Creeping into the Motherland: Black Panther and the Going Back to Africa Movement”, “Wakandan Homeland is This?”, “Killmonger and the Death of the Dream of Going Back”, and “Kiambere Flats”. These sections are compiled up of critical analysis of the film Black Panther which sometimes is accompanied with an analysis of other Going Back narratives, poems, short stories, and ethnographical accounts of time in Kenya. There are a few excerpts from conversations that I had with people while in Kenya. Everything written was informed by the reading and research I participated in the summer and spring quarter before I entered my SIP quarter. Historical things like Freetown Sierra Leone, Liberia, W.E.B. DuBois, Marcus Garvey, and a few other people and events have heavily shaped how I approached the topics I touch on in my SIP.
