dc.description.abstractThis photo of Gunther Spaltmann was published in the October 29, 1965 issue of The Kalamazoo College Index for the article "Spaltmann Speaks Out on Germany and 'K'." The Index gives the following background information on Spaltmann: "This week the INDEX interviews Dr. Gunther Spaltmann of the German Department.. A native of Germany, Spaltmann has been coming to Kalamazoo since 1959, approximately every two years. He Is here now for three quarters, teaching German. His studies include painting, theology, history, history of art, and philosophy, at the Universities of Leipzig, Berlin, Munster, Bonn and the Institute of Technology at Bethel. He is familiar with ten languages and translates novels, and is a noted artist and art critic. He is married and lives with his wife in Bonn." The full article is available here:
