In 1967 Dr. Chen shared his vision of libraries of the future where "Each student would have his own work cubicle, tied to a computer that connects him in seconds to any library in the network." He also envisioned that students would be able to video conference with professors. Overall, Dr. Chen predicted that technology would be advanced enough that libraries could share information with one another in seconds.
