Male Competitive Intent leads to Aggression against Female Confederate after Social Stress
Abstract
Male aggression is a prominent issue in society today, but it is
difficult to accurately study aggression in experimental
settings. For that reason, this proposed study conceptualizes
competitive intent as a precursor for aggression. Straight men
were subjected to social stress as a means to generate
competition between him and the confederate. How men
reacted to feedback differently from male and female
confederates was of interest in this study.
