The purpose of this research is to explain the problem with current laws and school preparation for sudden cardiac arrest. As well as to discuss the steps that need to be taken to help prevent student athlete death from sudden cardiac arrest. Due the large faults that exist in schools and laws there are preventative steps that are not being explored. I intend to evaluate these faults and how we can take the first steps to fix them. I will discuss the steps that need to be taken under consideration to help prevent any student athlete from dying due to sudden cardiac arrest. I want to send the message that these problems have the ability be fixed, just with simple changes in regulations. I will mainly focus on how schools can prepare their staff for such an event so it does not end in a tragedy.
