Mindfulness, Stress Management, and Holistic Wellbeing

Mindfulness is an integral element in maintaining psychological and physiological well being through stress management. Stress management is crucial for maintaining a balanced, healthy, and happy life. Stress must always be considered when treating or preventing an illness or disorder. Currently, there is a lack of a comprehensive understanding of the practice and benefits of mindfulness on stress management and self care. This paper provides a greater depth of understanding of the benefits of mindfulness including its role in preventing heart disease, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. The role mindfulness will play in society is also discussed.
